Bay County Disc Golf Club loves to support our local community. Below are some examples of groups we partner with and our support.
HOPE Project Inc.
The HOPE Project specializes in equestrian therapy for veterans who are suffering from PTSD and other mental health issues. The HOPE Project is not limited to that, also working with our partner Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center and many other local charities to maximize their impact. They have community events and bring the horses out to local venues for children as well. Bay County Disc Golf Club is happy to work with HOPE Project Inc. and support them with our annual Majette Iron Man event each July.
The 2021 Majette Iron Man raised $1000 for the HOPE Project.
Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center
The Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center specializes in working with children that are victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. These amazing people work to help children deal with trauma and navigate the hurdles of an intimidating legal system. Gulf Coast CAC represents six counties and has their main office in Bay County. Bay County Disc Golf Club is excited to work with the CAC to support them with the annual Tinsel Toss event each December.
The 2021 Tinsel Toss raised $3071.25 and had over a dozen toys donated to the Gulf Coast CAC.
Bay County Parks and Recreation
Bay County Parks and Recreation is an incredible partner that supports us with an incredible course so we are happy to return the support when we can. Since the redesign was completed in October of 2020, we were able to run 11 sanctioned tournaments as of January 2022 with a total of 700 registrants across those events. We've also run numerous sanctioned leagues with 432 sanctioned league rounds being counted at Majette in 2021.
In 2021, Bay County Disc Golf Club raised $1000 to donate trees to the park by raffling off a smoker donated by the local Ace Home and Garden.
